&
Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

about me
Attended the University of Louisiana Monroe. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am currently a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor and Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the state of Louisiana. I've been serving in the mental health field for six-plus years. While working in this field it hasn't just taught me much about the communities, but also about myself.
As a PLPC/PLMFT, my goal is to be warm, open, encouraging, and direct. The use of Solution Focused-Brief Therapy and a Narrative Therapeutic approach combined with education, experience, creativity, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling. I strive to provide a supportive environment to help people overcome obstacles as they move on this journey called life.
Utilization of a multidimensional approach to therapy aids in exploring each person's biological, psychological, and social needs. I believe that change happens when people are given the guidance and space to draw from their strengths to realize their greatest potential to live fulfilling lives that promote healing from trauma, builds self-worth, improves communication in relationships, and helps them to reach their goals. Healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honesty, compassion, and a space free from judgment. I am committed to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the complexities of life and tackle other stressors that affect them throughout their journeys.
